Mortimer House is a members club set in a restored six storey art deco building in the heart of Fitzrovia, London, bringing work, social and wellbeing spaces together under one roof, with hospitality at its core.
Soon after completion of the main restoration works, Mortimer House instructed MATA to develop a scheme for the rooftop to include a bar and terrace for members.
Our scheme involved demolition of a redundant lift overrun to create usable space, extension of a disused structure and it’s re-use as a pavilion housing a bar and small lounge spilling out onto a roof terrace with panoramic views overlooking Fitzrovia.
MATA Architects obtained planning approval for the extended rooftop pavilion, collaborated with Fettle Design on the interior design and oversaw the construction phase.
