Interior Design Architectural Services

We offer an option full interior design service.

Whether for new builds or for extensions to existing houses, our design process involves constant alternating between viewpoints; working from outside in and back again from inside out, so that these two positions influence one another and ultimately form a coherent whole.

Whilst working from ‘the inside out’ it’s natural for us to look at interior material finishes. From there it’s a short step to selecting fixtures & fittings, lighting and a range of interior architectural details.

Using the latest 3D visualisation, animation and virtual reality technology, we’ll show you exactly what to expect. Together we’ll evaluate materials, colours and textures, light and shadow. We’ll consider every detail, right down to the handles and light switches.

What is the difference between an interior designer and an architect?

An architect is a trained, qualified professional registered with the ARB (Architect’s Registration Board). Interior designers have varying degrees of formal training or qualifications. A professional interior designer may be registered with BIID (British Institute of Interior Design).

An architect brings a broad experience to balance and navigate all project requirements including, planning and building regulations, technical and structural aspects. As the lead consultant on the design team the architect is best placed to coordinate all aspects of a scheme; structure together with architectural elements and any specialist design items (such as bespoke stair designs).
